Online Computer Library Center

WorldCat is the world’s most comprehensive database of library materials.
Updated at a rate of nearly one new record every 10 seconds, WorldCat contains more than 85 million bibliographic records and 1 billion holdings contributed by over 9,000 libraries around the world.

WorldCat.org is a new destination Web site that allows people inside and outside the library environment to discover and use the resources of WorldCat libraries. People can go to this site to search WorldCat or to download the new WorldCat search box.

The Open WorldCat program puts WorldCat records and library holdings in the results lists of major search engines, online bibliographies and Internet booksellers by letting popular Web sites integrate WorldCat data into their services.
